Well, you have come to the right spot for your answer because I used to work at Sonic. In fact, it was my very first job as a teenager.
I was one of their carhops and I also ran the fountain as we used to call it.
So I was the one responsible for making those slushies and any other drink or ice cream ordered. I actually have very fond memories of working there .

So, if you’re in a tremendous hurry the next time you stop by Sonic, one of the chain’s skating carhops recommends on Quora that you skip the boneless chicken wings. Why? She notes, “There things that will take longer to cook. Wings usually take 69 minutes to cook depending on the thickness of the wings, the number being cooked at once, and the fryer temperature. They aren’t sold with consistency enough precook any. So 9 times out of 10, if you come after 6 p.m. you’ll be waiting for wings.”

Carhops On Skates Will Bring Your Sonic Slush To Your Car
If you have never been been to a Sonic Drive-In, you might not realize that skating carhops still exist. Carhops at many Sonic locations bring your Slushes and other food and drinks to the car while on roller skates or rollerblades. You’ll be amazed how much they can carry on a tray while on skates. When you are done eating, you can summon the carhop to come back and dispose of your trash, too. Another little known fact: Carhops can get you refills on drinks at many Sonic locations for 50 cents. However, some locations will even give you Slush refills at that price, if it’s a slow time and you ask nicely. It’s worth a shot!
Skating carhops must complete Sonic’s skating training program before they start skating at work, and the carhops also have to buy their own skates, so that may be why you don’t see them skating at every location.
Sonic Diet Cherry Limeade Nutrition
Diet cherry limeade is just one of the many beverage options at Sonic, a fast-food chain restaurant that serves burgers and shakes. Being a diet drink makes it lower in sugar and calories than the traditional cherry lemonade, but that doesn’t mean it’s healthy.

The only nutrient the beverage supplies is vitamin C, according to FastFoodNutrition.org. This vitamin helps make collagen, or connective tissue that helps support blood vessel walls, according to Harvard Health Publishing.
The mini and small sizes deliver 4 percent of your daily vitamin C requirements, while the medium supplies 8 percent. The large size supplies 10 percent of your daily vitamin C needs, and the Route 44 size delivers 15 percent. The diet cherry limeade doesn’t supply any vitamin A, iron or calcium, however.
While it might not taste salty, the diet cherry limeade does contain sodium ââ¬â 10 milligrams in a small, 15 milligrams in the medium, 25 milligrams for a large and 30 milligrams in the Route 44 size.
Healthy adults should limit daily sodium intake to no more than 2,300 milligrams according to the American Heart Association. If you have high blood pressure or other heart disease risk factors, that number drops to 1,500 milligrams.

This means even without any add-ins or toppings, your Slush will pack a really sweet punch. In fact, a small, plain Slush contains 48 grams of sugar and 180 calories. Bump that all the way up to a Route 44 and it’s 145 grams of sugar and 540 calories.
Unfortunately, some people don’t realize that the base itself has sugar in it, though that information is certainly printed on their menu. In some instances, Sonic staff don’t even seem to know about the sugar-laden base, according to a Reddit thread on the topic. They’re super-serious, which was made abundantly clear in April 2019 when the company’s law firm sent Wiley Roots a cease-and-desist letter over their “Slush” sour beer series. As a result, Wiley Roots had to stop using the Double Delta logo and Route 44 marks in their can branding and remove all references to Sonic.
