How Do You Keep Fasting Numbers Low
I was wondering what worked and didnt work, im still trying to get the hang of it, but i mostly get high numbers in the morning.
I either eat flavored almonds before bed or Fage 0% Greek Yogurt with some frozen mixed berries in it. my fasting will be in the 80’s every time with those two snacks.
I’ve just realized that I need to have a shorter fast rather than longer. My last pregnancy I needed 10 hrs to be in range but now am able to keep it in check with a shorter fast. I have a small glass of milk and a Greek yogurt. Sometimes I will add almonds or peanuts
I tried everything from no snacks to just protein snacks, and nothing worked. Exercise didnt help, so I was put on insulin.
I was very upset about this at first, but since the insulin Ive only had 2 high fasting numbers in 12 weeks!
I’m just not sure if I’m having the snack to early, too late, or if it’s what I’m eating. I don’t have this problem on weekends but I sleep for 9-10 hours whereas I’m up at 5am on weekdays.
Mine today was 120 :/ i have tried snack and no snack after dinner and i still haven’t been able to get good numbers. I just started the diet this week, could that have something to do with it or i should give up and accept the fact that i need medicine? My other numbers throughout the day are always really good.
I’m on my 11th day now and my fasting result has gone down to 84-92. After meals, I get 103-117.

In addition to seeing your healthcare provider, there are steps you can take to reduce your blood sugar levels. If you check your blood sugar after meals and keep track of those measurements, along with the types and amounts of food you ate, you may be able to see which foods are problematic.

Research Design And Methods
Four men and seven women diagnosed with type 2 diabetes who were not taking insulin completed the study. Participants provided a clinically determined A1C reading from a recent blood analysis. All participants gave written informed consent, and the study was approved by the institutional review board at Arizona State University.
Participants maintained 24-h diet records for 3 days and measured fasting glucose at 0700 h for 3 consecutive days with a calibrated glucometer before the start of the study. Participants were instructed to continue usual prescription medication use during the study. Utilizing a randomized crossover design with a 3- to 5-day washout period between treatments, participants followed a standardized meal plan for 2 days, consuming either 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar or water at bedtime with 1 oz cheese . The standardized meal plan was designed to reflect the individualâs typical diet. Participants were instructed to record all foods and beverages ingested during each 2-day treatment period.
Fasting glucose was recorded with a calibrated glucometer by each participant during the trial: at baseline and day 2 at 0700 h. These results were downloaded by the research staff from each participantâs glucometer memory. A multivariate repeated-measures ANOVA test with body weight as a covariate was used to determine a significant time-by-treatment effect using SPSS .

Track Both Your Carbs And Blood Sugar
Most pregnant women with gestational diabetes are very good about tracking their blood sugar numbers. However, just tracking the numbers without know what you eat to get those numbers is useless.
If you track both what you eat at each meals and your blood sugar one hour after, youll have better idea of which food tends to raise your blood sugar the most, and which doesnt.
This is what I have my clients do. If the blood sugar 1 hour after meal is high, check your blood sugar again at 2 hours after meal. If this number is high, then most likely your last meal has too much carbs. If the 2 hour after meal number is normal, then mostly like the carb from the last meal is too refined, or you need to increase fats or protein with their meal.
So you see, you can easily lower your blood sugar with these simple changes to your diet, and you dont have to eat rabbit food if you dont want to.
