Powerade Zero has 150mg of sodium per serving of 12 fl oz . This is a moderate amount of sodium, similar to a handful of salted nuts. It would take 10 servings of Powerade Zero to reach the American Heart Associations ideal limit of 1,500 mg of sodium per day.
A lot of people dont realize that the electrolytes in sports drinks include basic table salt. This is because its important to replenish your bodys salt stores while sweating and exercising.
But if youre just drinking Powerade Zero all day while being sedentary, can you get too much salt? Well, its possible.

Technically, Powerade Zero does contain vitamin C . It is used as a food additive to protect the taste. However, there is likely not enough vitamin C present to affect your health positively.
Most people know vitamin C is a helpful antioxidant that can have benefits for your immune system. However, in the case of Powerade Zero, vitamin C is not included as a vitamin supplement, but rather as a preservative.
The Powerade Zero nutrition labels I checked did not show any value for vitamin C content. When I checked a Powerade Ultra label that contains ascorbic acid used in a similar way, it showed 0mg and 0% daily value for vitamin C.
This leads me to believe that the amount of vitamin C in Powerade Zero is not enough to be beneficial to health. Its just enough to function as a preservative.

- Powerade Zero has only 100mg of sodium and 35mg of potassium.
- These numbers are low and it’s not enough to fuel your electrolytes needs during the diet.
- In addition it doesn’t contain magnesium which is extremely important as lack of it can cause muscle cramps.
Easiest way is to support your keto diet with quality electrolytes to balance your body and mind during the keto diet.

Powerade Zero comes in six thirst quenching flavours. These are as follows:
The only flavours I have tried are Mixed Berry and Orange.
I love the mixed berry, and it is sometimes hard to find it at my local supermarket! I’m not sure what type of berries that they used but its definitely a pleasant flavour.
It’s a nice change from water, even if it does contain High Fructose Corn Syrup ). It leaves no weird aftertaste despite being a “diet type drink” and hydrates quite well!
If I talk about the Orange flavour, the taste is perfect when combined with a tall mug of ice!
As its quite refreshing and replenishing, especially when its served cold.
