While we commend this triple-zero yogurt for being free of added sugars, artificial sweeteners, and fat, that same description could easily fit any other yogurt on this best list, so Dannons is just a marketing ploy. We do commend them for adding chicory root fiber6 gramswhich acts as a prebioticand can minimize spikes in insulin after a carb-heavy meal. An extra bonus? Vitamin D supplementation, a vitamin which helps your body absorb all that bone-strengthening calcium.
Is Frozen Yogurt Keto
Although frozen yogurt does contain more protein than most ice creams, it actually contains way more carbs. This is due to the lower fat content, which is replaced with sugar. As such, it isnt suitable for a keto diet. Many chains offer sugar free varieties, but even then, they still contain far too many net carbs to be keto friendly.

To make- Add all the ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Transfer into several small containers and place in the freezer until solid. Once solid, remove from the freezer and place back into the blender. Blend until your desired consistency and serve immediately.

Ultimately, whichever yogurt you choose to eat should fit within the dietary guidelines that apply to you. Recommended daily calorie intake depends on your age and activity level, so the best yogurt for weight loss won’t be the same for everybody.
Health.gov’s Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2015-2020, recommends that carbohydrates make up 45 to 65 percent of your daily calorie intake, but this may be different if you’re following a low-carb diet.

While technically sugar free Greek yogurt brands do not exist because of the lactose, there are Greek yogurt options that only contain natural sugar from the milk and no added sugar.
If you are ever in a store and are wondering if a Greek yogurt product has added sugar, simply look at the ingredients on the label. A product without added sugar will not have sugar listed as an ingredient as shown in the top photo below . You will notice the only ingredient is milk. We were able to find products containing plain Greek yogurt with honey and no added sugar. An example would be Fage Total with honey. While we assume yogurt contains probiotic strains, after all, it is made by bacteria, by the time it reaches a supermarket, many types of yogurt contain no probiotics at all.
This is a result of the practice of heating the yogurt following pasteurization. This means that all the bacteria, which would normally be there are killed, creating a flavorful, sugary, unhealthy snack.

I collected data from the websites of three top selling yogurt brands in the United States: Yoplait, Chobani, and Dannon. I limited analysis to just nonfat versions of regular and Greek style yogurts since their sugar content is nearly identical to their higher fat versions. For fruit flavors, I chose blueberry. If that flavor was not offered, I used strawberry instead as these two flavors were typically identical in sugar content. Typically, flavors had the same nutrient profile within a product line. Greek yogurt can be a great base think of it as a canvas for which you can add real foods to. I enjoy adding fresh berries to my plain Greek yogurt.
When you add your own fruits and flavors, you know what youre getting and youre able to control the added sugar.
I think any of the Fage plain Greek Yogurts are your best bet.
If you shop at WalMart, their Great Value brand of Greek Yogurt is not too bad either.
There are other brands of plain Greek yogurt from this list that have low sugar.
If you choose a fruit flavored Greek yogurt, many brands contain added sugars in the form of fructose, fruit puree, and fruit juices, so always be careful when choosing a fruit flavored yogurt .
