Boba drinks are a tea-based beverage that vary in flavor and texture. Its very popular in the Asian American community. Lately brown sugar boba has risen in popularity so when these new ice cream bars came out, it was no surprise they would sell out everywhere as they did. Its so cool to see food trends in Asian make their way over to the states.
Grace Market, among other Asian grocery stores, announced they had some in stock and every one of them sold out that same day. I picked mine up at the store located at 1030 S Oliver and went home immediately. If youre curious, one box ran $7.99. Each box came with four bars.
I had no idea what to expect going in but kept my appetites mind open to trying this new treat available in Wichita.
Upon opening the packaging, I was hit with a faint scent of coffee. The ice cream bar had a marbled appearance. At first bite, I was hooked. It had a smoky, coffee-like flavor. It wasnt near as sweet as I thought itd be. There was a faint blast of different flavors that hit my taste buds that all blended well seamlessly. Everything from vanilla, coffee, milk and brown sugar all came at once and didnt stop.

Costco Is Selling A Frozen Version Of This Sold
There’s a nationwide shortage of the tapioca balls that give boba tea its name, but if you’re a Costco member you’re in luck. The warehouse chain is selling a frozen version of the milky treat, and it’s filled with tiny, flavor-filled orbs.

I was searching my local HMart and Ranch 99 Market for Brown Sugar Boba ice cream and it was SOLD OUT last week. They FINALLY restocked an i picked up a box. It costs $7.99 for 4 bars. Btw, my Youtube vlogs and reviews may also have associated affiliate links to products that may earn from qualifying purchases.
I polished off the first box of 4 with in my car making my review video. I bought a second box for snacking later. Is it worth the $2 a bar cost? For soft chewy boba with the unique flavor and novelty of having a brown sugar milk tea on a ice cream bar YES! I still prefer fruit ice cream bars.
Theres a lot of hype with these ice cream overall I liked the taste as they taste like boba milk tea with lots of chewy bobas in bedded into the ice cream bar. The outside brown sugar was sweet covering the inner milk tea icecream overall it was a refreshing find. I have tasted other milk tea ice cream bars from Ranch 99 supermarkets the other one I like was the Hong Kong Milk tea ice cream bar.
Perhaps you can make your own ice cream at home. I may do a video on making my own ice cream or home made ice cream rolls.
