A Sugar Land staple for over 20 years, Corellis Italian Café has large booths, a bricked-in patio, and plenty of classic Italian offerings. Sugar Land Texas [FULL VLOG TOUR of HOUSTON TEXAS SUBURB]

The newest addition to Sugar Lands Town Square, B.B. Italia opens this summer from restaurateur Ben Berg. Known best for his steakhouse-slash-butcher-shop B& B Butchers and B.B. Lemon on Houstons Washington Corridor, Berg previously opened B.B. Italia on the west side of town, but it closed during the pandemic. Patrons are delighted at its reimergence, and are counting down the days until the pizza oven is burning once more.

In Sugar Land, Berg will continue to do what he does best: create twists on classic dishes, like short-rib-stuffed ravioli and chicken parm.

What to try: A hefty slice of the 20-layer lasagna will surely hit the spot but its arguably even better to order a whole one to-go, and feed the whole family at home.

Best Restaurants In Sugar Land By A Longtime Resident

Growing up on Houstons southwest side in the 1980s, my drivers ed group went to Highway 6 and 59 to learn to drive over 50 mph because there was so little traffic out there at the time. That same intersection would become Sugar Lands main destination for dining in 2003 when Town Square was developed. During my driving-lesson days, only 15,000 people lived in Sugar Land. Now, the population is over 118,000, making it the 31st largest city in Texas.

My husband and I moved to Sugar Land in the mid-1990s, and Ive had a front row seat to watch it grow. Initially, it was primarily filled with big chains and an array of fast food joints, and it only had one legitimate bar. But as the Fort Bend County community grew, it became one of the most diverse in the state. That growth and diversity brought new and unique restaurants. Many of these eateries have become community favorites. Although the city borders several neighboring towns that also have worthy restaurants, this list focuses only on those with Sugar Land addresses. Some have been pillars of the citys dining scene for years, while others are relatively new.

Jupiter Pizza & Waffle Co

Sugar Lands best pizza and waffles may be found at Jupiter Pizza & Waffle Co., a brewery and restaurant.

Try the Southern Belle Waffle if you prefer a savory taste in your breakfast.

Chicken breast is crispy fried and served on a Belgian waffle with homemade maple cream.

Kratos is a relatively recent must-try flavor for pizzas and is ideal for vegetarians.

Among the many options on their extensive menu is a wide range of appetizers and salads, as well as pizza, waffles, French breakfast, omelets, and skillet dinners. Fresh basil, mozzarella, goat cheese and kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes, and artichoke hearts complete this pizza.
